Why you Should THANK your Body

Why you Should THANK your Body

What are you thankful for this year?

I know we are all thankful to have made it this far through 2020! But I encourage you to be thankful for another, often-overlooked, thing this year… Between the quarantine, isolation, and now the cold weather, many of us are coping with a few extra pounds that weren’t there last year. This can be really discouraging, especially when there isn’t exactly an end in sight.

Going into the holiday season, it can seem like a good idea or the “healthy” thing to do to keep yourself away from the delicious foods we look forward to (or maybe fear) every year. However, instead of being angry at your body and punishing yourself for “over-indulging”, practice being THANKFUL FOR YOUR BODY! It can do so much! And where would you be without it?

Pray this with me: “Lord, I am thankful for all my body does for me. It lets me experience the world and all of its blessings. I promise to treat it with the kindness and appreciation you meant for me to have.” Body kindness means not looking in the mirror with hatred, giving it all of the nutrients it needs, (including treats now and then), and moving daily!

Promise to thank the Lord for all your body has done for you this year. If you want to hear more on how to practice body kindness, let me know! (and if this promise seems like too much for you, book a free call with me at the bottom of the page so we can discuss how you can overcome this).

“Lord, I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14
